I prefer to say my animals are responsiblysourced, as the definition of ‘ethical’ can vary from person to person. What I can assure you is that none of the animals I use are killed for the purpose of my work, they are always responsibly obtained.
I responsibly source animals from a variety of places, including:
Roadkill
Beloved pets
Farm livestock losses (dead stock)
Pest control
Animals originally intended for the pet food industry
Animals humanely euthanised due to injury or illness
Naturally deceased animals from captivity (such as zoos and pet stores)
None of the animals I work with are ever killed for the purpose of taxidermy.
Yes, I do accept certain donations. Depending on the species and condition of the animal. Donations can be made for me to use in my work, or we can arrange a commission if you’d like the animal preserved and returned to you.
