I prefer to say my animals are responsibly sourced, as the definition of ‘ethical’ can vary from person to person. What I can assure you is that none of the animals I use are killed for the purpose of my work, they are always responsibly obtained.
I responsibly source animals from a variety of places, including:
• Roadkill
• Beloved pets
• Farm livestock losses (dead stock)
• Pest control
• Animals originally intended for the pet food industry
• Animals humanely euthanised due to injury or illness
• Naturally deceased animals from captivity (such as zoos and pet stores)
None of the animals I work with are ever killed for the purpose of taxidermy.
Yes, I do accept certain donations. Depending on the species and condition of the animal. Donations can be made for me to use in my work, or we can arrange a commission if you’d like the animal preserved and returned to you.
